Our New Era
Our new colour palette is reminiscent of the lush green landscapes of our birthplace, New Zealand. Our brand colours embrace simplicity while also honoring our heritage.
Sir Michael Hill, our Founder has a personal connection to the inspiration behind our new look. "The soft palette of all the colours from the beaches we would go to in New Zealand, the trees, the moss, the grass, have all been married in."
Our new brandmark is deeply tied to our origins. It makes use of a New Zealand typography front, intertwining our monogram of M and H. The icon conjures imagery of a window, a tribute to our earliest, enchantingly creative store windows which were designed by Lady Christine Hill, and which helped Michael Hill to first make our mark in the fine jewellery landscape.
